All you need is a stick of butter and 12 ounces of beer (or club soda) to make this incredibly delicious, hearty and very flavorful Beer Bread. This generously sized loaf slices beautifully for sandwiches and is the ideal choice to serve with hearty soups or stews. Individual muffins can be made easily in a muffin tin.
1 Stick of Butter
1 Bottle of Beer or Club Soda
For Cheesy Beer Bread Muffins:
Mix Packet (Included)
4 Tbsp (1/2 stick) Salted Butter, Melted
1 12 fl oz Bottle of Lager Beer
½ Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
Directions For Cheesy Beer Bread Muffins:
Heat oven to 350°F. Butter 8 wells of a muffin tin and set aside.
In a medium bowl add the contents of the mix packet and stir in the cheese. Form a well in the center of the mix and pour the beer into the well. Using a large spoon mix the liquid into the dry mix until incorporated. Do not over mix.
Spoon batter into the eight wells. Batter will be slightly above the rim of the wells. Spoon about ½ T of melted butter on each muffin and bake for 40 – 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the muffin comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes.
